Abstract. The mountain relief has been an attraction pole for different categories of people since ancient times, and the varied forms, the result of the action of the modeling agents, were first admired aesthetically, and then researched by geologists and geographers. The „Swiss method”, first applied by Pralong (2005), adapted and used for the representative geomorphosites in the Bucegi Mountains (Sfinx, Babele, Cerdacul Văii Cerbului), was used for the evaluation of the geomorphosites in the Bucegi mountains (Bucegi and the Craiului Stone) by Comănescu, Laura, Nedelea, A., Dobre, R. (2009). The touristic evaluation of the geomorphosites results from the average of the summation of four criteria: the scenic value, the scientific importance, the cultural value and the economic value. The obtained results show that the size of the tourist value is determined primarily by the aesthetic value and the economic value, the scientific importance being the same for each formation.
